TRAMS ONLINE

Click here to enter Trams OnlineDAVID MUSCROFT presents his images from The National Tramway Museum and Vintage Trams Collection. I have lived in Derbyshire for over 20 of the 30-odd years I have enjoyed working as a professional photographer.

In between:

The Punk era in Rock
The heyday of Snooker at the Crucible in Sheffield
Top level football for national Sunday newspapers
Glamourous girls for Calendars and magazines worldwide
Creative advertising images for major stock agencies
Designer wedding photography

I have always loved the beauty and sheer diversity of my home county, and it has always been a favourite subject (see my collection of vintage and contemporary images at Derbyshire Images). Just two miles away from where I live is the home of the National Tramway Museum in Crich, so it is natural that I spend much of my time there searching for that perfect shot which captures the sight and sound of these wonderful vintage machines.

As well as my own work, I present here reproductions of out-of-print postcards. Whether for the tram enthusiast, or lover of our treasured national heritage, Tramsonline vintage pictures offer a unique and charming alternative to modern, massed produced chain-store décor.

My thanks go to all of the volunteers and staff at The Tramway Village for cooperating in the creation of my archive of tram pictures.

You can see much of my work on The Tramway Village website and publicity material, as well as framed prints in the Red Lion pub. All of my tram pictures are available as prints, framed prints or stretched canvasses in a range of sizes.

This is just a very small selection from my files, please enquire if you have any other image requests.
